Vegan Fish and Chips in Devon
A British Classic Receives a Mooli Makeover!
If you’re looking for a vegan restaurant that sells vegan fish and chips in Devon, then come to Mooli Foodworks. We serve them at Feelgood Frydays – pre-booked dining events that take place on the first Friday of each month. They are offered as shared experiences with guests seated together around our large communal dining tables.
We offer a 3-course set menu of vegan fish and chips along with a starter and dessert of the day. The main course features familiar accompaniments and your favourite condiments – all freshly-made with homegrown, local and organic ingredients.
Our (secret) vegan-recipe ‘fish’ is carefully and lovingly handcrafted with 100% plant-based ingredients, including protein-rich tofu. We’ve created a recipe that delivers a depth of sea-fresh flavour!
Vegan Fish and Chips in Devon With Hand-cut Chunky Chips and Homemade Condiments & Accompaniments
Our vegan beer-battered ‘fish’ is dished-up with traditional, freshly-chipped Maris Piper potatoes – by far the best ‘spuds’ for large, hand-cut chunky chips!
It’s served with minted mushy peas – homemade with British-grown, organic marrowfat peas. The grey-green appearance reflects the pea’s natural colour – we won’t add anything extra to create an unnatural green.
The homemade condiments include sun-dried tomato ketchup, and egg-free vegan tartare sauce using fresh herbs and pickled or fermented vegetables.
We add a generous garnish of seasonal salad leaves, edible flowers and microgreens that are all homegrown at Mooli Foodworks. Then all that’s left to do is splash on some malt or cider vinegar and a sprinkling of sea salt and you’ll easily forget it’s not real fish.
Simply enjoy it for what it is – a perfect combination of ingredients that give a truly unique and flavoursome experience!
Our main course recipe includes soya, wheat, mustard and celery. If you have any special dietary requirements, please email us after you’ve booked using the relevant product reference code. We can usually cater for most common food allergies by offering alternatives to our starters and desserts of the day. We regret that we are unable to adapt our (secret!) main course recipe.
Feelgood Frydays take place at Mooli Foodworks on the first Friday of each month at 7pm and booking is required. So, if you’re looking for restaurant quality vegan fish and chips in Devon – book now! Relax and enjoy cruelty-free, seaside comfort food with a plant-based twist – and no catch.
